The Village People:

Duck Creek Village has a population of about 450 Full time residents. This number explodes in the summer to over 3,000, not to mention the thousands of park travelers that pass through from around the world. Scattered through the mountains are family cabins, some dating back to the 50's. The people who live and work here full time spend their summers working 7 days a week often more than 10 hours a day. The village is small staffed and they work very hard to get through the summer crowds. Please be patient! Tip your wait staff... and enjoy a different pace of life!

Dining:

Restaurants are often open till 8-9pm and may be closed certain days in the summer months. Keep in mind they are very busy so plan on a bit of a wait. Go before you are hangry!

OH DEER!!

Herds of Mule deer and Pronghorn populate the Dixie National Forest. From spring to fall you can see these animals abundantly. DRIVE CAREFULLY! Highway 14 can be very dangerous especially from dusk until dawn.

Diet restrictions:

If you need specific dietary foods, ie... gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc... It is wise to bring them with you. The village stores are doing a great job stocking more and more necessities, but if you have a special request pack it with you.

LIQUOR:

This is UTAH! Once you cross into the state of Utah you may no longer purchase liquor or wine at any grocery store. Liquor can only be purchased at State Liquor stores and they are NOT open on Sundays. Plan ahead! If coming from Vegas there is a Lee's Liquor store in Mesquite Nevada.

Loose Wheels, our local gas station, has a small wine and liquor selection right here in Duck Creek.

DUI - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE

The legal limit is .05% in the state of UTAH. Please know, you may get arrested with ANY trace of alcohol in your blood regardless of the legal limit.
